White Sandy Beaches

Let’s see what this Florida snowbird thing is all about……

Once again, time has flown and somehow we find ourselves at the beginning of December already.

We had an amazing fall season and have now parked the Diesel Tent in Perdido Key, Florida for the month.  Somehow I lucked out in booking and we got one of the best spots in the park.  Nice sized yard and facing right out onto the inland waterway!  It seems there is always something fun to see flying around whether it be pelicans, seagulls, herons, oh and the frequent flyover by the U.S. Navy Blue Angels practicing their formations!  That has been a blast to watch as they pass overhead multiple times per day in any variation from 1-4 aircraft.

We are looking forward to exploring the area State Parks and finding the best seafood spots.  We are situated right between Gulf Shores, AL and Pensacola, FL so there are lots of things to check out in the area.

“Located on a narrow strip of snow-white beaches and crystal blue waters, Perdido Key is located in the Northwest Panhandle of Florida, between Pensacola, Florida, and Orange Beach, Alabama.

No more than a few hundred yards wide in most places, Perdido Key stretches some 16 miles, with almost 60 percent of it located in federal or state parks – making it one of the last remaining unblemished stretches of wilderness in the Florida Panhandle.”  Source: www.visitperdido.com

I admit I have not been great at regular blog posts and am working to improve that but please do follow us on Instagram @we.go.now for more consistent updates on our adventures.
